History:-
In ealry 2003 David Grey, Chrissy Edwards and Luke Williams decided to
form a band. There was never a name but every week they practiced and practiced.
Eventualy 2004 came and Dai decided it was time to move on and try to make
something big so he and Chrissy set off and looked for a new drummer.
In febuary 2004 in stepted Jason (Trueman). He was already in another band (dirty saints) but
was looking for more experience and something new and very challenging.
Trueman was in and progressed with confidence and could understand every move of the two
boys.
Rhys was in once or twice with the vocals but it was too much as he was in college so his stay
wasn't very long.
Couple months down the line and there was no bass player, no singer. It was just the drummer and guitarist. There wasnt much they could do except look for a new bass player.
Instead they found a second guitarist.
Chris Evans (ex Baowolf guitarist).
In walked this dude with long black hair with his guitar in one hand and amp in the other. He
pluged in and out blasts these awsome riffs of destruction. It was to be!
The three practiced every possible chance they could for weeks on end creating as
much work as possible on the new material and searching high and low for a bassist. They thought there was no chance in finding
one as no one was interested until 14 year old Chris Hardwicke who had only been playing bass two months.
The band didnt really think much of it when they heard he'd been playing two months but had
no option as they were a bassist short.
The day came for him to come over and show his moves. Everyone was shocked literaly. He could
play most Dream Theater and Metallica songs off the back of his head which most people would still be struggling
on. He could do anything you put in front of him. He also brought along a friend, Glen Hawksworth ( ex snowblind guitarist)
who eventualy became the third guitarist of shadow proof.
At first we were a little confused why Dai had asked Glen to play with us as a third guitarist as
there was really no need for one, until however the songs were played with Glen in the band and we could all see
why. "Dai was in the corner masturbating (not literaly)" hehe. It just sounded awsome. Moment never to be forgoten.
There was alot of catching up to do for the newcomers and effort to be put in to achieve they're
goal.
There was still no singer which went on for months, but eventualy the band discovered that Chrissy
Evans (Rhythm Guitarist) had a voice.
Down went the guitar and out came the mic. You could tell he was nervous as he didn't put any
effort into it. There was no umpth in the voice.
There was work to be done, so he worked at it and now he is on top form with the voice and has also
picked the guitar up to put both together.
Its late june 2004 shadow proof have got 13 complete songs of they're own and are currently
working on covers and new material. They hope to be giging very soon. Hopefully this summer they will share they're work, share
they're musical art to the world.
Keep an eye out for these guys. You will not be disapointed.
Its 20th july and gigs are finaly being booked for the summer.!!!!
31st july 2004 Shadowproof came second in artist of the month on welshunsigned.com.
